Inflation is running at an average 2.5% per annum. Tourism and financial services are the most important source of foreign exchange. The currency of Cyprus is the Cyprus pound and there are eight major banks on the Island. |

Cyprus is situated in the North Eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea
with Paphos lying on its West coast. The Capital of Cyprus is Nicosia.
Other major towns are Limassol and Larnaca. International airports just
outside Larnaca and Paphos link Cyprus with most of the European and
Middle Eastern capitals daily. Flight time to the UK is approximately
4.5 hours.
